About

My story begins when I sold my house, departed ways with my nephew Michael, his wife Rie and his adoring two children Kaito Mckrie , and Aika Michelle. They embarked on a 15 hour travel to Japan.  We as a family glued ourselves to each other overcoming adversities.

My ideas of adversities we’re dealing with Financial issues mortgage payments, my mother’s declining health with dementia, my brother’s health issues, my brother and his son deteriorating relationship. My only source of sanity was my drawing, painting, walking, meditation and yoga.

I faced adversity and I got through it. I retired in 2018 in November as a Montessori schoolteacher. I taught kindergarten and preschool. I am fortunate to have experienced joy and satisfaction in teaching the young ones to be mature, and adventurous young people .

I moved to Mesa, AZ to live with my niece Marquisa who happens to be a twin, her husband Jesse and their  two year old daughter Maren Sunni Regnier.  Since my retirement and I don’t look at it as a retirement, sure you cease to do one particular work to do something else. It’s the something else that you have to figure out what you’re going to do for the rest of your life.

I majored in fine art when I attended ASU, Arizona State University.  I never would have thought that I would return to the desert. I am by heart a California girl. Well, anyway I have a B.A Fine Art and my Masters in Healthcare Administration. At the time I was teaching, and caring for my mom who was eighty-six.  I wanted to know how the healthcare system works in caring for the elderly.  I love drawing, painting, doing yoga and going to the gym. As I am writing this post.  I am thinking about my watercolor class for tomorrow. Life can be inspirational just observe and listen.
